Well, this is me.
Living in Hoppers Crossing now, I plan to have NodeACG up and running soon. (Well, as soon as I can get a decent antenna, some cable, and someone to point it at.)
Currently, my configuration is:
Access Point
- Apple Airport 2, no external Antenna, servicing private network only.
Clients
- Alloy WL300B-5 PCMCIA card, in my (old) Laptop - this is no longer being used because my new Toshiba Satellite Pro has a built in Orinoco Silver compatible card built in
- Apple Airport 2 Card in my iMac
- Orinoco Silver Cards with PCMCIA-PCI Adapters in 2 of my Workstations
Working Group Participation
- (Silent) Member of Solar Power
I have the Access Point sitting in the Built-in Robe of my office upstairs, and the clients are usually used downstairs. Because of this, I've found that Inverting (ie. Turning it upside down) the Access Point gives a better link quality.
