UNIFORM RESOURCE IDENTIFIER
URI provide a means for identifying a resource, an example being the
URL [1]: _http://melbourne.wireless.org.au/wiki/?URI_
They are defined as sequences of characters (chosen from a limited
subset of the repertoire of ASCII characters) both for TRANSMISSION in
network protocols and REPRESENTATION in spoken and written human
communication.
