21/8/2005 -Obtained a 24dbi Galaxy Antenna from Patrick's place

EQUIPMENT
Planning on obtaining:
84mW Linksys WRT54G [4]
200mW Senao CB3
24dbi Galaxy [5] Antenna / 29dbi Satellite Antenna
12dbi Collinear [6]
I will use the 24dbi + Senao to obtain a link to someone like Node
FOB [7] who already has a link to GHO [8], unless I can get a stable
link directly to GHO [9] but I doubt it! I will then attach the 14dbi
Slotted Waveguide to the Linksys and offer access to anyone over here
in the southern region that can connect.
The Antennas will be mounted on a mast which is going to be attached
on the second storey of the house or on the side of the garage
(Depending on what my parents allow hehehe). Hopefully this will be
high enough.
Thanks to Peter from GUR [10] I am being taught the best way to
approach this, and found via nodedb that I could even have a
connection to ILE [11] but trees could be an issue!
SERVICES
I plan to offer DHCP, and OSPF. In addition there will be a SOLDIER
OF FORTUNE server and a WEBCAM mounted at the top of the mast viewable
by everyone.
PLANS
Need to build an COLLINEAR or SLOTTED WAVEGUIDE omni antenna. Also
need to get some pole from bunnings and weatherproof boxes from jaycar
and cable. I plan to mount the
