Node AAF aka Wantirna-AP1 [2] is an access point serving those with a
line of sight in the areas of Wantirna, Wantirna South, Knoxfield,
Scoresby, Rowville, Ferntree Gully, Boronia, Wheelers Hill, and
anywhere else that happens to have a LOS around these areas.
The mast at Wantirna-AP1 is approximatelly 12m from the ground and
uses a 180 degree 14dB Waveguide for the Access Point, and a 24dB
directional link for the backbone link to our routing node which
connects us to several other sites.
If you think you may be able to connect up then send Ryan [3] an
email.
Wantirna-AP1 currently has several nodes connected however there are
many who want to connect but have not done so yet due to time
restrictions.
Currently running servies include IRC and WWW.
