MCX-Connectors [1] are 50 Ohm coaxial cable [2] connectors designed
for frequencies up to 6 GHz.
"MCX" stands for "Micro-CoaX". The MCX-Connector [3] was designed in
the 1980's, and is very similar to SMB-Connectors [4], although about
30% smaller, and lighter. The MCX-Connector [5] has snap-on mating,
although was not originally designed for movement during use.
The MCX-Connector [6] has a smaller brother, known as the
MMCX-Connector [7].
