802.11e as of June 2003 is a draft standard that defines a set of
Quality of Service enhancements for LAN [1] applications, in
particular the 802.11 [2] WiFi [3] standard. The standard is
considered of critical importance for delay-sensitive applications,
such as Voice over Wireless IP and Streaming MultiMedia [4]. (Source:
