Telnet
Take your pick...
The telnet command is used to communicate with another host using the TELNET protocol.
Generally, the telnet application is used to communicate with another computer by supplying the user with a virtual terminal.
Telnet's 'days of glory' have been and gone although it still has it's uses. SSH is the preferred method of communicating between machines as the traffic is fully encrypted and thus has better security.
Know telnet's limitations and then use it accordingly, if there is any doubt then the SSH application may serve you better.
