Node Log

7/3/09 - Did site survey and established LOS to GXT and ICQ - yah !

14/3/09 - Node build planning underway. Have procured Wind Turbine / batteries for power

3/5/09 - Node installation has started, the pole is concreted in and the cabinet base done, with many thanks to Will, David, John, Adam and Mike for their assistance in wresting the pole into place !

7/5/09 - Have the turbine almost ready for install, will hopefully visit this weekend to continue commissioning works.

10/5/09 - With many thanks to Michael, the turbine and enclosure are all mounted. The prop will go on once the electrics are done & tested.

12/5/09 - Most of the electrics & breakers for the turbine have been completed.

13/5/09 - Electrics completed and tested ok. Prop now on and turbine seems to be working. Further testing required.
have also setup the weather station and an uplink ap. Uplink almost online, will happen soon !

16/5/09 - Yah ! we're online and connected to the network ! Thanks john for helping with the entertainment. (rode a road bike up a muddy trail...)

17/5/09 - John has confirmed coverage at 10klm range no problem at this stage.

28/9/09 - This node has been fully commisioned and in now opperational.
it has been linked to at 20klm away, and a scan on the 26/9
from the nobies at Phillip Island confirmed it does have
         line of sight that far!

This node has been through lots of development of the past few months
but has now settled and balaced well with the renewable power
generation now exceeding needs by a healty margin.

Many thanks to all the people who helped get this node operational !

Services

This node will provide an Uplink point and coverage
for the Narewarren / Berick / Hampton Park etc region.

Plans

It's also planned to provide an up link to Aurthurs Seat in the near future.

It will also be a bounce point to further connect KLG in the future

I intend to link up to NodeGXT

I intend to link up to NodeJNA

I intend to link up to NodeICQ

Problems

Still Sourcing equipment such as
