Services
Planned
- OSPF
- Webcam
- Backbone uplink point
Plans
New Kallista site :
- Stabilise the link back to GUR & possibly FOB (LOS Permitting at FOB).
- Setup a waveguide with a 200mw senao AP to enable LOS tests to this site.
Notes : The view covers from about Mt Waverley to somewhere around hampton park or south dandenong not sure yet of the bearings.
Checkout Here for LOS checks.
Problems
Power to the pole is limited by POE.
Learnings
- The DLINK 48v DWL-P200 poe kit transmitter works with the senao 2611 cb3 delux internal POE.
- POE seems to be configured with Positive (+) on Cat5 pins 4/5 (green/greenwhite) and Negative (-) on pins 7&8 (Brown/Brownwhite)
- Most AP's seem to have dioes to protect against power polarity reversal.
- The Linksys WET11 V1 seems to be only missing two surface mount diodes to enable it use POE. (Haven't tested)
