LICENSING

Q: IS THIS LEGAL? DON\'T YOU NEED A CARRIER\'S LICENSE?

A: As far as we know, yes it's legal, and no we don't need a carrier
license.

The devices themselves have what is known as a "class license",
meaning that as long as they abide by the rules when they are
manufactured, they are deemed to be legal for use in Australia.

2.4Ghz is a unlicensed spectrum band, and we are a non-commercial
group. See this ACA questionnaire:

If you answered yes to this question, please proceed to the next
question. If you answered no, no further action is required.

Question 3 Yes No Is/are the network units used for the sole purpose
of O O supplying carriage services on a non-commercial basis?

If you answered no to this question, please read below. If you
answered yes to this question, no further action is required.

Further action

If you reached Question 3 and answered no to that question then you
need to apply for a carrier license or arrange for a licensed carrier
to apply for a nominated carrier declaration in relation to the
radiocommunication equipment.
