Spelling: Amplifier

In wireless networking an amplifier generally refers to an additional
device, used to increase the power of the card's signal.
This usually includes both output and input signals but, depending on
the design of the amplifier it can be used to selectively increase
either the recieve or transmit signals, usually the receive signal.
This ensures that the output does not exceed the legal maximum but
improves the SNR by boosting the signal from the background noise.
