GeneralMeetingSuggestions
This is the place to make suggestions about improving Melbourne Wireless General Meetings
General Ideas
- Organisers and Committee members need to arrive at the Scout Hall at 6.30pm to get things organised before people arrive
- Encourage discussion before voting on resolutions, motions or special resolutions during the official business
- Bad accoustics in the hall makes running a workshop hard whilst others are socialising
- if more workshops are running concurrently, there could be less background chatter
- The welcome group should be kept fairly short and sweet - allow people to get to the BBQ
- decide on the topics to be covered at the welcome group
- ask newbies what they expect from Melbourne Wireless
- the Committee needs to be more proactive in signing up new members
- The timekeeper / MC should have a printed copy of the Agenda and make sure the meeting sticks to it!
- The meeting chair should have the Committee Report prepared in point form
Workshop Ideas
- Workshops can cover the same topic fairly regularly, if not at every meeting
