A computer that provides its resources to other computers and devices
on a network. These include print servers, Internet servers and data
servers. A server can also be combined with a Hub [1], Switch [2]
and/or Router [3].
A Server is the central point of a Client/Server network.
Peer-to-peer [4] is another style of network that does not require a
Server.
A wireless network that uses an Access Point [5] is following the
Client/Server style. An AP is a central resource that all wireless
clients must connect to in order to "see" each other.
