LMR-400

LMR equivalent of RG-8 CoaxialCable, suitable for microwave applications, such as 2.4GHz wireless LAN use.

LMR-400 will attenuate a 2.4 GHz signal by approximately 0.22 dB/meter. Due to this loss, LMR-400 cable should be restricted to cable lengths of up to a maximum of 15 meters (~3.3dB attenuation). If you have a cable run around this length, or need longer, you may want to redesign your layout so you can place the radio closer to the antenna. If that's impossible (such as you have a very tall tower to cable), you may want to investigate LMR-600 or LMR-1200.

You can get LMR-400 from Vak at the monthly meetings.
