The (probable) internal U.Fl connectors means external antennas could
be added to this device.

Stev391:
Nope, the internal connectors (2) are not U.Fl they are only there as
test points, which are not suitable for permanent connections. The
easiest way to hack this is to unsolder the external antenna and
solder your own coax in. The only problem that I can see is that there
are matching/filter SMD near the solder point so the impedance might
not be at 50 Ohms.

Another solution would be to cut off the test connectors and try
there to overcome the impedance/filter circuit.

DISCUSSION

It would ge good to know the maximum USB cable length this device can
tolerate. Some 802.11b USB client adaptors can successfully operate
over at least 10 metres of USB cable. A USB hub is needed at the far
end of the cable though.
