+The 'other' mobile phone technology used in Australia. While it replaced the old Analog network, it is important to note that this is indeed a true digital system. Reputed to have better coverage than GSM, especially in regional areas.
+
+In order to carry many conversations over one frequency, it sends all communications in groups of bits mixed altogether, but tags each group belonging to a specific communication, with a different code. At the other end, each communication can be reassembled in the correct order based on the unique codes attached to certain groups of bits.

+The two main providers of CDMA in Australia are [Telstra] and Hutchinson Telecomm/Orange/Three. The Spectrum that has been allocated for use is 800Mhz. Calls start at 9600bps, then are 'spread' to attain around 1.2 Mbps.
