NODE LOG
24/04/2006 - Will be relocating to Ferntree gully in the coming
weeks. This is a good thing as there is better LOS and I have the
freedom to put the antenna wherever I like.
12/02/2006 - Network taken down. Antenna Issues.
7/08/2005 - Set up a network with SSID of "testing123". Hopefully
poeple will be able to see it.
3/08/2005 - Purchased a 5dB Omni-directional antenna to have a better
look at whats around my area.
27/07/2005 - Registered with Melbourne Wireless.
16/05/2005 - Purchased Wireless Card (Gigabyte). Need to investigate
connecting a larger omni-directional antenna to it.
EQUIPMENT
* Main PC (P4 workhorse)
* Server (Print / File - Was used as a web server which has since
been removed.) - considering making this the main wireless gateway
* Wireless router / AP - This will be kept on the mast in a
weather-proof box
* 15db Directional antenna.
