SuSE [Linux] is not only easy to install; its actual potential is revealed in the immense wealth of application programs. The range includes Windows-compatible office packages, browsers, mail clients, HTML editors, and the superb image processing software GIMP.

Another nice SUSE feature (8.1 and above) is built in configuration of wireless cards via YAST at installation.
For those who love apt-get, there is a version for SUSE: (http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/ apt for SUSE).

Overall, SUSE provides some very bleeding edge features - built in XFS for instance, but seems to run very well.
