! Overview Unico is a botique software and systems integration company. We are currently building a node for the Albert park and South Melbourne area. Our plans include a backhaul link on 5.8GHz together with a 2.4GHz wave guide antenna (configured as infrastructure). We also have some space to place a PTZ Webcam on the roof with the radio equipment. The Camera will cover the Albert Park area including the Golf Course and of course the motor racing circuit. For further information about Unico please visit http://www.unico.com.au ! Site History September 17, 2014 Update link details for KOR June 10, 2014 Update and cleanup information. October 27, 2011 Re-purposed JLP link to KOR. April 29, 2011 JPL Link now operational on KKI 10.10.3.32 subnet. NodeKKI is now in AP mode with SSID of KKI-JPL April 21, 2011 Mark and Raj have successfully installed a radio (west2) at NodeKKI which is currently connected to NodeJPL at Seabrook. Working with Dave the connection was commissioned late that day. The routerboard at NodeJPL is available on 10.10.17.82. April 20, 2011 Mark and Raj with some help from Rob Britt have installed a new pole and fixture on the rooftop and run protected cables form the riser to the new pole. 4 cat5 Ethernet cables have been installed ensure a permanent link between KKI and JLP. The service has been tested to 100Megabit/sec. The routerboard with is the site backbone router for the site is available on 10.10.3.1. February 2011 Testing continues. We have successfully created a link with NodeJLP however, the link quality does not meet expectation. To solve this problem we have arranged for an additional radio (a NanoBridge M5) installed at the NodeJLP with a direction pointing directly to our site location. With the new radio being connected at NodeJLP, we are confident of getting a better signal. January 2011 Initial radio installation for site survey purposes. Successful connection to NodeGHO over a distance of approximately 30 kms. Throughout for the link reached almost 60 Megabit/sec. A decision was then made to attempt a connection to JLP as the link distance would be shorter. ! JLP connectivity is limited. This is being reviewed with the connection of an additional radio at the JLP site.
