Introduction



NodeHKF is my node on the Melbourne Wireless community network.

It is running Fedora Core 1 on a P2-266MHz, 256MB Ram, and is currently testing. The machine has OSPF (Quagga) running on it.





Antenna



My node has a 15dB 180deg waveguide connected to a D-Link DWL-900AP+ access point and one Hills 24dB directional using a Veritech(Senao) 11b 200mw PCMCIA card





Mast



A 9 meter mast is mounted on side of my house, firmly guyed by 3 separate steel guy wires that attach to long eye-bolts screwed into the roof trusses. 

A temporary 5 meter mast mounted off the side of my garage has the waveguide mounted on it.
