I'm currently still collecting components to get NodeDDE up and running - currently all I've got is the actual system which the wireless card will go in eventually (an Pentium 75/40Mb RAM). Initially I hope to get up and running in IBSS with a HomeBrew cantenna, but I hope to eventually HomeBrew an OmniAntenna and run as an AccessPoint, providing DHCP, OSPF, IPv6 and more.

Currently my home network consists of a number of [Debian Debian GNU/Linux] woody and sid / Windoze 98 / 2000 / XP boxes, running both IPv4 and IPv6 over ethernet.

* Build and test some home-brew cantennas - I do the "other" sort of home brewing, so I want to test how homebrew kit cans go as cantennas ...

* Build a faster, better dedicated box than my P75 (hrm, would do if I had more money ... maybe I should look at buying an old-ish notebook ...

* Read up on and play around with various protocols, including OSPF (Zebra) and IPSEC (FreeS/WAN)

* Get up on the roof and set up some kind of antenna mast. My housemate actually scored a 12M mast from somewhere, but I think it's too tall to legally use without a permit. I'm not sure how long I'll be in my current house, either, so might wait and see what the next house provides ...

* Borrow a digital camera and take some photos from my roof, then post them for all to see ...
