7/08/2005 - Set up a network with SSID of "testing123". Hopefully poeple will be able to see it.
3/08/2005 - Purchased a 5dB Omni-directional antenna to have a better look at whats around my area.
27/07/2005 - Registered with Melbourne Wireless. 
16/05/2005 - Purchased Wireless Card (Gigabyte). Need to investigate connecting a larger omni-directional antenna to it.

!! Equipment 
 
* Main PC (P4 workhorse)
* Server (Print / File - Was used as a web server which has since been removed.) - considering making this the main wireless gateway 
* Wireless router - This will be kept secure. I have a cabled link to it, so the WiFi card in the PC at the moment will be used for the larger wireless network.
* 5dB Omni-directional antenna.

!! Plans 
 
I'd like to connect a large Omni-directional antenna to the back of the house. This would only be able to connect to those N.E. of me due to the side of the hill that I'm on.
 
!! Problems 
 
Need to move PC's and cables all over the house. Need to get a price for a large antenna to pole mount on the back of the house. I may even see if I can get it on a larger mast to look out to Ferntree Gully / Rowville.
